"All by myself" est l'illustration de ce que je fais avec bonheur depuis de longues années. J'ai beaucoup joué seul dans les bars d’hôtel de Paris, et ces dernières années j’ai rajouté le chant, pour m’ouvrir de nouveaux horizons. Je n'ai pas la prétention d'être un chanteur à part entière, entendez moi plutôt comme un musicien qui pousse la chansonnette, car j’aime ça !
De plus ce CD est entièrement réalisé à la maison, c'est en somme comme si je vous invitais chez moi !
Les chansons sont de grands classiques du "Great American Songbook" qui constitue le répertoire de base des musiciens de jazz depuis ses origines. J'ai évidemment choisi des chansons que j'aime et qui se prêtent à la situation du piano-chant solo.
J'ai aussi fait quelques standards en piano solo, et j'en profite pour remercier Antoine Hervé pour l'ostinato de la main gauche que je lui emprunte dans "Caravan".

"All by myself" illustrates what I do with joy since many years. I played a lot in parisian hotel bars, all by myself, and these last years I added singing to open new horizons. I do not pretend to be a full fledged singer, hear me as a jazz pianist who also sings !
Also, this CD is recorded entirely at home, it is very much as if I invited you into my sitting room !
The songs are classics of the "Great American Songbook" which has always been the basic repertoire for jazz musicians. I obviously chose the songs I like and that lend themselves to the situation of solo piano with vocals.
I also did some standards piano solo, and I want to thank Antoine Hervé for the ostinato of the left hand that I borrowed from him in "Caravan".
